Frequently Asked Questions
Why Work With Me
With over 25 years of experience as a counselor, educator, and transformational guide, I bring a grounded, embodied, and heart-centered approach that integrates mind, body, and spirit. My work honors each person’s innate healing intelligence and unique path toward growth and awakening.
I have extensive training and personal experience supporting individuals through psychedelic therapy as well as transformational coaching rooted in trauma informed care. Over the years, I have witnessed and held space for hundreds of people in medicine circles, including apprenticed with a consciousness wisdom keeper with more than 25 years of experience serving healing medicines.
My embodied approach bridges modern psychology, somatic awareness, and transpersonal wisdom, helping you integrate insights from expanded states into everyday life with authenticity, clarity, and presence.
Whether you are seeking healing, clarity, or a deeper connection to your purpose, I offer a compassionate and grounded space to reconnect with your truth and remember who you are.
What types of clients do you work with?
I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and life stages who are seeking greater clarity, healing, and transformation. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, exploring purpose, or integrating spiritual and psychedelic experiences. My approach is inclusive, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s unique path. I am honored to support clients across the United States on their journey toward growth, awakening, and embodiment.
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
Coaching is ideal if you are ready to make meaningful changes, gain insight, or move toward specific goals with clarity and intention. My work often resonates with people seeking spiritual growth, personal transformation, or integration after expanded states of consciousness. If you are unsure whether coaching or therapy is a better fit, we can schedule an initial consultation to explore your needs.
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Both coaching and therapy can support deep personal growth, but they differ in focus and scope. Therapy explores past experiences, emotions, and patterns to promote healing. Coaching focuses on the present and future, helping you gain clarity, set aligned goals, and take action.
I offer both services. Coaching is available to clients nationwide, while therapy is limited to California residents due to licensing regulations. If you are interested in therapy, please visit my psychotherapy website, kimdioriotherapy.com.
How do I schedule a session?
To schedule a session, please use the Contact button on this website. We will find a time that works for you, either online via Zoom or in person at my home office in the hills above Palo Alto and Los Altos. Before we begin, I will send you a few forms, including informed consent and brief intake questions to help us start with intention.
What can I expect during a coaching session?
Each session is a collaborative and grounded space for exploration, reflection, and action. Depending on your goals, sessions may include mindfulness, somatic awareness, guided visualization, or spiritual inquiry. Together, we will uncover what is holding you back and design practical steps to help you move forward in alignment with your values and vision.
Do you offer retreats or in-person experiences?
Yes. I offer personal retreats and sacred meditation immersions at my home space in the hills above Palo Alto and Los Altos. These experiences invite deep rest, reflection, and renewal in nature’s embrace. Retreats can be customized for individuals or small groups, with options for day-long or overnight stays.
What is your rate, and do you offer packages or discounts?
Coaching sessions are $225 per 50-minute session. I also offer customized packages for ongoing support and transformation, as well as an all-day sacred meditation retreat for $1,500, including an optional overnight stay at no extra cost.
We can discuss what feels most aligned for your needs during your consultation.
Is there a minimum commitment for coaching?
There is no required commitment, but many clients find that working together over several months provides the most lasting transformation. This allows us to deepen the process and integrate insights meaningfully.
How long is a session?
Standard coaching sessions are 50 minutes. Longer or immersive sessions are available for in-person meetings or retreat-style experiences, allowing for deeper somatic or spiritual exploration.
Do you offer psychedelic integration coaching?
Yes. I provide psychedelic integration support for individuals who have participated in medicine ceremonies or ketamine sessions and wish to ground their insights into everyday life. Integration coaching helps you weave wisdom from expanded states into sustainable transformation.
Where do you see clients?
I work primarily online with clients across the United States and in person by appointment in the hills above Los Altos and Palo Alto, near Skyline Ridge Open Space Preserve.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
How can I prepare for my first session?
Before your first session, take a few moments to reflect on what is calling you right now—your intentions, challenges, or dreams for this next chapter. You do not need to have it all figured out. Simply bringing your curiosity and willingness to explore is the perfect place to begin.
